Third World tripod..........this is what happens when u live in places like Nicaragua too long. The idea of actually spending $$ to buy something goes out the window cause they don't sell it!! So u resort to building your own stuff - like this. Once u get into the habit of doing this you cannot go back !!! U are r stuck improvising for the rest of your life. Your wife calls u a "cheap skate" and your friends mock u. That's just the way it is.

A new large Gyre using base metals ........ it about 3lbs of glass cullet + metals. Cool huh.

Finally something totally bitchin'...............this is metal alloy suspended in glass cullet.  I love it. I will sell a ton of these !!!!!!

Another fracture ........

Another fracture ........ as this piece bit the dust. Laced with multi shades of blue, greed & copper powder the molecular annealing alignment was too much thus stress fractures occurred. BITE ME !!!! Will try again.

Got her in the tub ........ she put up a good fight but she finally realized that she may weight 70lbs but I weigh 220lbs - no friggin' contest!!!!

Here is our dog Belle........she is a nice dog and weights 70 lbs but she really smells. I mean she really stinks like a shitbox. So I got some lavender (how gay) doggie shampoo and I am going to chuck her in the tub. Lets see what happens ........

Hijacked by the Old Biddie .......all work this afternoon ceased as my 14 y/o cat (aka" The Old Biddie) hijacked my workstation then bite me twice when I tried to move her - fortunately she only has 3 teeth so not much damage was done. I got my chocolate lab after her then she moved her ass pretty quick.

Cranberry is in ......

Cranberry is in ...... for this new 4lb. (14" diameter) glass Gyre we made with stock cranberry cullet.  We poured  it out at 1700F then added some opal white on top and raked it around with a stainless steel pick.

This was the best.....

This was the best.....Seafood Bouillabaisse that I have made in a while. I found some special Indian mushrooms at the Coop. Then I gathered up 7 different kinds of fish - I had to go to 3 different fish stores to get the right ones - yes Bozeman is still a small town.  Then I added of course shrimp, squid (oh calamari), mussels, octopus and clam. The key is in the second cook down when my secret spices are added with a little extra olive oil.

My head is white .....

My head is white ..... I just did this. Cool huh!!!! Lets ring in the new year with a new colored head. I will do blue for the 4th of July. Tonight is the celebration....

Orange is in ........ with this new 16" Gyre we just got out of the oven. It has 4 pounds of glass and green and cobalt blue highlights. Making some more jewelry today. It's 45F here and sticky - who'd believe this is Montana.

New holiday piece .......

New holiday piece ....... is a 13" gyre. Got soooo lazy this week I haven't made jack.... Gotta start beefing up inventory as our first show is in mid February.

The latest disaster..........

The latest disaster.......... not only is it ugly but it broke due to cold temp.  Need to stop being so damn cheap and use some real sheet glass. Bite Me !!!!

Well sometines ..........

Well sometimes .......... things just don't come out the way one expects. I had high hopes for this technique. I won't bore you with the details but i will try again. It is just too dark and dark is the enemy in the glass business. If you think this is good then tell me how much you would pay for it - seriously.
